In retrospect, he was criminally underused by coach Toshiya Miura. However, when his appearances as a substitute gradually began to increase, midway through the season, Hashimoto started to make an impression. His greatest attribute is his crossing ability, and he has enough pace to get past defenders in order to make the cross. He gave a man of the match display in the final home game of 2006, recording a brace in 2-0 victory over Cerezo Osaka.
