Ronaldo voted best in Europe by top coaches

Top coaches have voted Ronaldo the most valuable player in Europe after his displays for Internazionale in the UEFA Cup triumph last season.

The 24 coaches who led the quarter finalists in the three European club competitions also voted the Brazilian star the top striker.

Zinedine Zidane of Juventus was named best midfielder while Peter Schmeichel of Manchester United was judged best goalkeeper in Europe.

European club champions Real Madrid are led by the best defender - Fernando Hierro.
