Fenerbahce kill deal for Van Hooijdonk

Fenerbahce have abandoned their bid for Pierre Van Hooijdonk after agreeing a £6.5 million fee for the Dutchman with Nottingham Forest.

Personal terms - wages and bunuses - were too much for the Turkish side to proceed with the deal so Van Hooijdonk remains on strike in Holland with NAC Breda after refusing to play for Forest again after a dispute concerning club transfer policy.
