Leeds sign Batty from Newcastle

Leeds United have called a press conference for tomorrow afternoon to announce the signing of midfielder David Batty from Newcastle.

Leeds raised their offer for their former captain to £4.8 million and Newcastle accepted. England player Batty is due in Leeds for medical tests tomorrow before signing a new contract with the club where he started his career.
