Benfica sign Kiev defender

Benfica have completed the signing of veteran Dynamo Kiev defender Oleg Luzhny.

The 30 year old signed for a £1 million after talks last week with coach Graham Souness and has a three year deal with the club. The defender has been outstanding in Kiev's march into the latter stages of the Champions League but the Ukraine champions have decided to sell now as they feel very strong in the central defensive positions.
