German coach Erich Ribbeck has announced the squad which will play the United States next February.
Dropped AC Milan goalkeeper Jens Lehmann has been brought into the squad while veteran Lothar Matthaeus retains his place. Mario Basler has been dropped after denying last month that he had instigated late night card games at which thousands of DMs were staked and lost by his colleagues in the squad for a friendly against Holland.
Injured Newcastle United midfielder Dietmar Hamann is also included although he is set for first team action again over the Christmas period and PSG's unsettled defender Christian Woerns is also included.
The Germans will be based in Miami and will play the US national side on Feruary 6th and Argentina on the 9th.
