McManaman all set for official Real Madrid offer

Steve McManaman can listen to official approaches from other clubs from tomorrow.

The January 1st date marks the point at which the Liverpool and England midfielder is six months from the end of his current contract with the Premiership club.

That means he is close to cashing in on offers of £75,000 a week to join Real Madrid. From midnight tonight the European club champions can make official representation to the player under the Bosman ruling. FC Barcelona, Inter and Chelsea are also interested in the wide player and can make their offers depending on the level of acceptance Real find with the 27 year old.
