Perugia sign Japanese star Nakata

Japanese World Cup star Hidetoshi Nakata is to join Italian Serie A side Perugia.

The 21 year old midfielder impressed with his performances for Japan in the recent World Cup and the newly promoted Italian side have pursued their interest in him since Japan were eliminated from their first Finals four weeks ago.

Perugia have had a £2.5 million bid accepted by J-League side Bellmare Hiratsuka.
