Scottish league leaders Glasgow Rangers are insisting that defender Coling Hendry will not be returning to Blackburn Rovers as their new coach.
Rovers have appointed first team coach Tony Parkes as caretaker and are not set to appoint a new manager before the end of the month at the earliest.
Hendry left the side who are now bottom of the Premiership in August but has management ambitions and reacted favourably yesterday to press suggestions that he was in line to replace Roy Hodgson as Rovers supremo. He even hinted that he was ready to take the job on. Rangers have reacted quickly and insist that Hendry has a four year contract to play for them and will see it through.
