Dahlin sent to Hamburg

First Published: Oct 19, 1998

Blackburn Rovers have offloaded Swedish striker Martin Dahlin to Hamburg SV.

The former Borussia Moenchengladbach player will spend the rest of the season on loan in Germany after a poor year in the English Premiership that has seen him play less than 20 matches for Rovers and lose his place in the Swedish national squad.

Dahlin has endured a miserable two years after his spell in Serie A with AS Roma was wrecked by injury but he failed to impress at Rovers with his play or his attitude.
