Sweden crashed inside two minutes late in the second half to a defeat in Dublin.

Little happened to excite the crowd before or after the 75th minute but Ireland secured the win against an in form Swedish side with two strikes inside two minutes.

Substitute Tony Cascarino set up the first for another replacement who marked his debut with a fine finish. Kavanagh collected the former Celtic player's flick and drove the ball into the middle of the net.

Seconds later the broke loose from the edge of the box and Wimbledon forward Mark Kennedy collected and controlled the ball. He then drove it into the far corner on a low swerve to secure the win.
