Ajax swoop for teen star Chivu

Ajax Amsterdam have secured Romanian teenage defender Christian Chivu on a six year contract.

The Dutch club have agreed a £4 million fee with Universitata Craiova for the 18 year old who is now part of the Romanian national squad. Chivu is a very versatile left sided defender.
