Turkey to play Euro 2000 games next month

Turkey will press ahead with their Euro 2000 matches for next month despite the suspension of the national league as the country enters a prolonged period of mourning for the victims of last week's earthquake disaster.

Istanbul side Galatasary will also complete the second leg of their Champions league qualifier this week while the national side who postponed a friendly in Norway last Wednesday will play Northern Ireland in Belfast on September 4th before atrip to Moldova four days later. Turkey top group three ahead of Germany on goal difference.
