Seedorf hurt in training accident as Inter pull out

First Published: Aug 27, 1999

Real Madrid have announced that midfielder Clarence Seedorf will miss at least the next three weeks of the season after a training injury.

The Dutch player has been linked in the past two months with a move to Internazionale but that has now been ditched by the Milan club who have signed Italian international Luigi Di Biagio this afternoon.

Dutch international Seedorf has also been ruled out of a friendly against Belgium next month and the start of Real's Champions League campaign with a gashed knee. Seedorf was in a collision with Ivan Campo this morning in training at Ciudad Deportivo and came off much worse with lateral ligament damage beneath a deep flesh wound.
