Belgium hope for better from Waseige's reign

New Belgian coach Robert Waseige has produced his first squad for two friendlies next month.

The Belgians face their Euro 2000 co-hosts Holland on September 4th and Morocco three days later and are looking for their first win in ten matches fare firing Georges Leekens last week.

Former Anderlecht coach Waseige has brought in Parma AC midfielder Johan Walem as the side look for their first win since the before the last World Cup.

The squad in full -

Goalkeepers - Geert De Vlieger (Anderlecht) and Philippe Vande Walle (Club Bruges).

Defenders - Glen De Boeck (Anderlecht), Eric Deflandre (Club Brugge), Marc Hendrikx (Genk), Carl Hoefkens (Lierse), Lorenzo Staelens, David Oyen ( both Anderlecht) and Jacky Peeters (Arminia Bielefeld).

Midfielders - Walter Baseggio, Bart Goor (both Anderlecht), Stefaan Tanghe, Yves Vanderhaeghe (both Excelsior Mouscron), Gert Verheyen (Club Brugge), Johan Walem (Parma AC) and Marc Wilmots (FC Schalke 04).

Strikers - Jurgen Cavens (Lierse), Emile Mpenza (Standard Liegei), Branko Strupar (Genk) and Tony Brogno (Westerlo).
