Hagi gets top Romanian honour

The Romanian Football Federation have made Gheorghe Hagi their player of the century.

The Galatasary play maker has appeared at three World Cup finals and made 119 appearances for his country. The 34 year old former FC Barcelona player is recovering from a minor knee operation but will take part in the Euro 2000 finals with his highly rated Romanian team. Former national team coach Anghel Iordanescu was named coach of the century in Romanian football.
