Blackburn battle on to sign Lomas

Blackburn Rovers are to try again to buy West Ham captain Steve Lomas.

Lomas, a Northern Ireland international, has said he intends to stay with the London club but another four million pound bid from Rovers could see him pitched into their battle against relegation from the Premiership. The sides play each other tomorrow but Blackburn will move again for Lomas in the days following the league clash.
