Euro 2000 to have lion mascot

The mascot for the Euro 2000 tournament will be a multi-coloured lion symbol.

The European Championships will be held jointly in Holland and belgium in the summer of 2000 and the lion has yet to be named by organisers UEFA.

The lion will be used on all official products from sponsors and qualifying countries connected with the finals.
