Mols rejects Sheffield move

Utrecht striker Michael Mols has rejected a move to English Premiership side Sheffield Wednesday - leaving Ajax Amsterdam favourites to sign the international.

Mols - scorer of 16 goals this season - turned down the two million pound move. Utrecht are reluctant to sell their striker to a rival in the Dutch league and the Sheffield bid was satisfactory for the club but the player still hopes to move to Ajax in the summer.
