Chelsea are still nowhere near securing the future of Norwegian striker Tore Andre Flo.
The Premiership leaders have been negotiating a new six year contract with Flo but so far the 25 year old has not been willing to enter into a new deal. Flo is likely to be missing from the Chelsea side until at least March after recent surgery on an injured ankle. His present contract ends in 2001 but Chelsea are hoping to secure his future with them before the spring. The striker's wages would nearly double under the new deal but Flo knows he is not an automatic choice for the first team under coach Gianluca Vialli.
