Robbie Fowler has pledged his future to Liverpool in a £10 million deal.
The England striker signed a new contract yesterday in a five year deal which effectively makes him the highest paid player in Liverpool’s history.
The deal ends speculation over Fowler’s future, fuelled in the past by the players penchant for buying property in the south east of England. Recent rumours have been that both Arsenal and Spurs were interested in the player.
One drawback of the Fowler deal could be Lazio renewing their interest in Michael Owen. With Fowler earning at least three times as much as his Liverpool and England team-mate Owen might consider a big money move to an overseas outfit.
