Ajax bring back Verlaat

Ajax Amsterdam have brought veteran defender Frank Verlaat back to the club from VfB Stuttgart.

Ajax have paid the Bundesliga side £2.5 million for the 31 year old who toured Brazil with the Dutch national side at thee start of this month. Verlaat was a good youth player for Ajax and started his career with three seasons in their defender before a move to Swiss football and Auxerre in France.
