First Published: Jun 24, 1999

Bologna striker Kennet Andersson will decide in the next two days if he will move to SS Lazio.

The Rome club have bid £3 million for the tall Swedish striker as they start work on replacing Christian Vieri who was sold to Internazionale two weeks ago in a world record transfer. They are close to signing Diego Simeone from Inter in an adjunct to the Vieri signing and had talks yesterday with Simone Inzaghi - Piacenza's highly rated young striker.

Inzaghi is expected to sign soon for Lazio who are also chasing Argentine international Claudio Lopez at Valencia.

In addition they are still hopeful of bringing Nicolas Anelka to the Italian capital after offering £25 million to Arsenal who are to meet the French striker at the weekend to discuss his future.
