Southampton close to signing Petkov

English Premiership side Southampton are close to signing CSKA Sofia top scorer Milen Petkov.

The midfielder was a target two weeks ago for Glasgow Celtic but the Southampton club are now close to signing the midfielder in a £2 million deal. The player is expected to have a medical tomorrow and will then complete the transfer by signing a four year contract.

Petkov will be played on the left side of midfield if he completes the move.
