Swedish striker Kennet Andersson has joined SS Lazio in a £4 million deal.
The Bologna striker has agreed a four year contract with the Rome club after more than two weeks of talks initiated by Lazio president Sergio Cragnotti. Lazio are compiling replacements in their attack for Italian international Christian Vieri who joined Internazionale two weeks ago in a record breaking £31 million transfer.
A late interest from Lazio in their former captain and record league goal scorer Giuseppe Signori has come to nothing though and Bologna will keep the 32 year old striker who made his name with the Rome club.
Lazio will use Andersson primarily as an alternative striker as coach Sven Goran Eriksson has added Simone Inzaghi to Marcelo Salas in his first choice front line after a recent deal to sign the Italian under-21 star from Piacenza with LLazio hoping to spoend again soon to strengthen their attack and add Parma AC's Nestor Sensini to the defence.
