Internazionale are in talks today with French captain Laurent Blanc to seal a £5 million move for the central defender from Olympique Marseilles.
Blanc was contacted last week by OM with the offer from Inter and was keen to talk about a move after an excellent season with the French club. He is a former FC Barcelona defender and led France through to the brink of their World Cup win last summer. He was suspended for the final after a red card in the semi final victory over Croatia. He recovered from that disappointment to lead OM to the verge of the French championship and is still at the heart of the national team's defence.
Blanc is set to join former team mate Cyril Domoraud who joined Inter last month and the Milan club are also still keen to sign left back Vincent Candela from AS Roma but that move has stalled for a second time as the Rome club try to keep the 27 year old.
