Olympique Marseilles striker Christophe Dugarry is at the centre of a drug scandal in France after failing a dope test.
The former Milan and Barcelona forward tested positive for drugs at the end of last month as OM completed their championship challenge. The international played at the last World Cup for France and faces a minimum six month ban if found guilty of using banned substances for enhancing performance.
The 'Parisien' reported the story this morning and the positive dope test has come from the anabolic steroid Nebrolone.
OM have sold striker Fabrizio Ravanelli to Fiorentina and are expected to sell Titi Camarra to Liverpool next month but the loss of Dugarry for any extended ban after the drug test failure could see them review their transfer policy.
