Real Madrid target Babbel

Real Madrid want to sign Bayern Munich defender Markus Babbel.

The German international was target last month for Spanish champions FC Barcelona but any move to the Camp Nou has stalled and Real are interested in a move for the player.

The 26 year old has also been a target for Fiorentina and almost joined Liverpool last season and has earned forty caps for the German national team.
