Vitesse Arnhem have completed the signing of Dutch international striker Pierre Van Hooijdonk.
The £3.5 million transfer was completed by selling club Nottingham Forest who have been looking to sell the player since he started last season by going on strike in a dispute over Forest's transfer policy.
Van Hooijdonk was signed in 1997 from Glasgow Celtic and left Forest with one of the quotes of the year. In future he said he would "think three or four times" before going on strike again.
Forest have been linked by the English press with a move to make former Wimbledon manager Joe Kinnear their new coach. The club were relegated from the Premiership in April and appointed Peter Shreeves as a short term replacement for retiring boss Ron Atkinson at the start of the week after Glenn Hoddle rejected the chance to take over at the club.
