France have recalled AS Monaco striker David Trezeguet to face Armenia on Wednesday evening.
The Euro 2000 game must now be won by the World Cup holders after a 0-0 draw against the Ukraine in paris two days ago. That match has been received coldly in the French press who have been disappointed with the lack of effective attacking play which hands the advantage in the section to the Ukraine. France play a decisive game in Kiev on September 4th.
Trezeguet has recently settled on a new contract with AS Monaco after close attention from AS Roma and he stands a good chance of starting the Armenia game.
