Yugoslavs still in Euro 2000 contention

First Published: Mar 29, 1999

Yugoslavia are still in Euro 2000 despite the spate of cancellations that have occurred in qualifying matches after NATO air strikes began against the country.

Those games - six in all - have been put back to next August and September with UEFA confident that there are enough dates for the qualification to be completed by next December's draw for the final groups.

Tickets went on sale this morning and are on sale for Yugoslav citizens and any one who wants to join the lottery by post by May 7th.
