Italy survived a scare against Belorus to keep an unbeaten record in group one intact.
In a bright and adventurous game by both sides the visitors took the lead after a snap shot from Belkevich in the 25th minute. Italy redoubled their efforts which saw good moves from Conte and Inzaghi and these players combined again in the 31st minute to produce the equaliser.
Conte was fouled in the penalty area and the Juventus striker Inzaghi converted the penalty with a low drive.
Italy were positive in advancing to win the game but the Belorus defence ran hard and tackled well to limit their opportunities.
