Metz sign Ukraine striker
First Published: May 24, 1999Metz have signed Torpedo Moscow forward Sergei Skachenko for next season.
The striker will leave the Russian season to enter preseason training with the French side in July but will play his last game for Torpedo next month. The 26 year old is a regular in the Ukraine squad and was contacted about a move to France when his country played in paris at the end of March in a Euro 2000 qualifier. Metz have signed the player on a four year deal with a £3 million fee.
