Glasgow Celtic midfielder Craig Burley will miss the Scottish Cup final at the weekend after picking up a knee injury against Dundee in the final league game of the season.
Celtic play their city rivals Glasgow Rangers who are attempting to win a treble after a league and league cup win.
Burley's season has been regularly interrupted by injury after winning the PLayer of the Year in Scotland last term. The damage to the medial knee ligament was thought to need surgery but the 28 year old has escaped that treatment and will need only rest to overcome the problem. He will miss the two Euro 2000 qualifiers Scotland play next month against the Faroe Islands and the Czech Republic.
