Real Madrid hope to complete the signing of French star Nicolas Anelka by the end of next month after a meeting between club president Lorenzo Sanz and the player's agents in a Paris hotel last night.
Anelka is managed by his two brothers and both are keen to engineer a big money move to Spain. Patience at Arsenal is running thin with the antics of the Anelka entourage as the 19 year old French star is constantly offered around clubs in Italy and Spain. Arsenal have set a price of at least £20 million on the player regarded as one of the best young finishers in Europe but the constant agitation Anelka is causing the club may see him off loaded in the summer.
Real want to pay no more than £12 million for the striker but despite assurances that the player will remain with Arsenal for one more season interest in the youngster remains intense as the meeting last night showed.
