Norway goalkeeper Thomas Myrhe has broken his leg in training - delaying any move for him by Manchester United.
The new European champions had been linked last week with a move for the Everton player as they search for a replacement for Peter Schmeichel who is set to join AS Roma on a two year contract in the summer. In the midst of the celebrations of United's astonishing win over Bayern Munich in the Camp Nou last night the Dane confirmed again that he would be leaving the treble winners in the summer.
Myrhe was considered a viable replacement for Schmeichel by United scouts but the leg injury will see him spend the summer in recuperation. He was training for the Euro 2000 games at the end of the month against Georgia and Norway have a trip to Albania on June 5th.
