Glasgow Celtic have lost influential midfielder Vidar Riseth from their sqaud to face Rangers in the Scottish Cup final tomorrow.
The showpiece event is being staged at the new refurbished national stadium for the Scots at Hampden Park but Riseth has been called away on international duty by Norway.
The midfielder is a likely starter for the Norwegian in their Euro 2000 tie against Georgia on Sunday but he has been removed under the five day rule from the Celtic squad and the club will not appeal against the Norwegian request. The player will join national team training later today.
Celtic are attempting to stop local rivals Rangers from completing a domestic treble but they have already lost Craig Burley from their midfield and the absence now of Riseth stacks the odds against the Celts.
