Scots look to tangerine partnership

First Published: Nov 16, 1999

Scotland look set to start with Dundee United forward Gary McSwegan in attack as a partner for his club mate Billy Dodds as they try to overturn a two goal deficit at Wembley.

The Euro 2000 play-of decider tomorrow night at Wembley will be the last competitive international before the old stadium is demolished but the advantage England hold after their win at Hampden Park is draining interest in the fixture as a competitive match.

Dodds was unlucky not to score on Saturday and slapped an excellent shot against the English bar but his fellow attacker Kevin Gallacher picked up a booking and will be suspended for the return tomorrow.

The Scots are also likely to be missing Everton midfielder Don Hutchinson with a calf injury. The player did not train yesterday and is an unlikely starter as Scotland try to revive their chances of a trip to the finals next summer.
