Germany turn down chance to play at Wembley

European champions Germany have turned down the chance to face England at Wembley as both nations prepare for the Euro 2000 finals next summer.

The DfB released a statement this morning saying the offer to play the England in one of the last games at the old Wembley stadium before it is demolished and rebuilt could bot be accepted due to scheduling problems in May and June. England are in talks to play Brazil as they prepare for Euro 2000.
