Romania call up old favourites

Romania are looking to ensure their win in Group Seven and keep rivals Portugal away from the automatic qualifying place in the section with an experienced squad named to face Liechtenstein next week.

Romania lead the group by a point from the Portuguese with both sides assured of a top two finish.

Defender Dan Petrescu has yet to be offered a new contract at Chelsea and could leave the club under the Bosman ruling at the end of the season but will become the club's most capped international player if he plays against Liechtenstein.

The squad in full -

Goalkeepers - Lobont and Stelea.

Defenders - Petrescu, Ciobotariu, Lacusta, Popescu, Nanu and Contra.

Midfielders - Sabau, Lupescu, Rosu,Hagi, Galca and Stinga.

Strikers - Petre, Ilie, Moldovan and Ganea.
