Ukraine have announced their squad to try and win Group Four of the Euro 2000 qualfying round - and are hoping star striker Andriy Shevchenko can repeat his excellent form of last night.
Shevchenko scored three times in a 4-4 draw in Rome with SS Lazio. Ukraine lead Group Four by one poiint from Russia with France also in contention to take the automatic qualifying place if Ukraine can only draw in Russia.
The squad in full - Goalkeepers - Olexander Shovkovsky, Viacheslav Kernozenko (both Kyiv Dynamo) and Olexander Lavrentsov (Kryvbas Kryviy Rih).
Defenders - Oleg Luzhny (Arsenal), Vladislav Vashchyuk, Olexander Golovko, Yuri Dmitrulin (all Kyiv Dynamo), Olexander Koval, Volodymyr Mykitin (both Shakhtar Donetsk) and Serhiy Myzin (Karpaty Lviv).
Midfielders - Vitaly Kosovsky, Serhiy Kormiltsev, Andriy Gusin (all Kyiv Dynamo), Serhiy Kovalev (Shakhtar Donetsk), Yuri Maximov (Werder Bremen), Hennady Moroz (Kryvbas Kryviy Rih), Roman Maximyuk (Zenit St Petersburg) and Eduard Tsykhmeistruk (CSKA Kiev)
Strikers - Andriy Shevchenko (AC Milan), Serhiy Rebrov, Serhiy Konovalov (both Kyiv Dynamo) and Serhiy Skachenko (Metz).
