Yugoslavs rely on experience for game of destiny

Yugoslavia have confirmed their squad for the game of destiny with Cropatia in Zagreb on Saturday.

The game will decide the Euro 2000 fate of both countries who are are also mindful that The Irish Republic are in contention to win the section as well.

Coach Vujadin Boskov has insisted on mental toughness being the main ingredient for his players and has picked 21 experienced internationals to go to Zagreb and try to at least get a draw. The two countries drew 0-0 in August in game overshadowed by political protests in Belgrade.

Yugoslavia lead Group Eight by one point from the Irish with Croatia two points off the lead and needing a home win to at least try to qualify for next month's play-offs.

The squad in full -

Goalkeepers - Kralj, Kocic and Zilic

Defenders - Mirkovic, Djorovic, Djukic, Mihajlovic, Komljenovic, Bolic and Saveljic.

Midfielders - Jokanovic, Drulovic, Grozdic, Govedarica, Stojkovic, Stankovic and Nadj

Strikers - Mijatovic, Savicevic, Milosevic and Kovacevic.
