Totti pulls out of Italy squad

AS Roma striker Francesco Totti has pulled out of the Italian squad to face Belorus in their final Euro 2000 qualifier on Saturday.

Totti has been a regular in the national squad since Dino Zoff took over as coach and has been in excellent form for Roma who are second in the Italian championship to Inter at the moment. He was injured in a 3-1 win at Fiorentina on Sunday and arrived at the training camp at Coverciano only to be ruled out of the squad by Italian medics.
