Bad heel sidelines Iversen for Tottenham

First Published: Oct 12, 1999

Tottenham have told their fans that fears over the fitness of Norwegian striker Stefan Iversen have been exaggerated.

The striker has heel problems after returning from international duty with the Norway squad at the weekend. The London club have dismissed reports that the forward will miss the next month after damaging the heel but he is unlikely to play in the start of their Worthington Cup defence tomorrow night or in the Premiership visit to Derby at the weekend. Tottenham have suffered several injuries to their strikers this season with Les Ferdinand unlikely to play until the end of the month.
