Czechs rest Liverpool stars for Israel game

The Czech Republic have named their squad to face Israel in a Prague friendly on April 26th.

The Czechs are preparing for the Euro 2000 finals after reaching the final of the last Euro completition in 1996 and won all ten of their qualifiers for the year 2000 edition. Liverpool pair Patrick Berger and Vlkadimir Smicer are both rested for the game.

The squad in full -

Goalkeepers - Cerny (Slavia Prague), Maier (Rapid Vienna) and Srnicek (Sheffield Wednesday).

Defenders - Fukal and Gabriel (Sparta Prague), Rada and Vlcek (Slavia Prague), Repka (Fiorentina) and Suchoparek (Hertha Berlin).

Midfielders - Baranek and Rosicky (Sparta Prague), Horvath and Ivo Ulich (Slavia Prague), Bejbl (Atletico Madrid), Latal and Nemec (Schalke 04), Nedved (Lazio) and Poborsky (Benfica).

Strikers - Koller (Anderlecht), Kuka (Stuttgart), Lokvenc (Sparta Prague) and Wagner (Rapid Vienna).
