Germany name players for Swiss game
First Published: Apr 18, 2000Hertha Berlin striker Michael Preetz has been brought back into the German national squad and is likely to start a friendly next week against Switzerland as partner for captain Oliver Bierhoff.
Coach Erich Ribbeck has carried through his threat to dump Bayern Munich midfielder Jens Jeremies from the squad after Jeremies wrote off Germany's Euro 2000 chances in a magazine article two weeks ago Mehmet Scholl returns to the squad along with Markus Babbel and striker Marco Bode after all three players missed last month's friendly in Zagreb against Croatia with injuries.

Defenders - Babbel, Linke, Matthaeus, Nowotny. Rehmer and Woerns.
