Yugoslavia are confident that striker Predrag Mijatovic will be fit for Euro 2000 after the Fiorentina player was forced to miss the rest of the Italian season for Fiorentina.
Mijatovic joined the Florence club in the summer after two years with Real Madrid but his first season in Italy has been marred by a serious heel injury.
This latest set back came in the 3-3 draw with Fiorentina on Saturday and is a calf strain that could keep Mijatovic out of action for at least a month.
The player is a certainty for the Yugoslav Euro 2000 squad and coach Vujodin Boskov must confirm his final squad of 22 players on June 1st. Mijatovic should still be fit for inclusion but will not play again for La Viola this season.
