Bayer Leverkusen have reached agreement with Turkish club Fenerbahce to sign Alpay Ozalan for next season.

Turkish international Ozalan will join the Bundesliga club in July after the Euro 2000 finals. The player's contract with Fenerbahce ends this season and Bayer have offered Ozalan a four year contract to pay for them in Germany after their initial approach to Fenerbahce was accepted.

26 year old Alpay joined Fenerbahce from Besiktas in 1998 and is a key defender for the Turkish national side.
