Juventus go back in for Swedish star Andersson

First Published: Feb 17, 2000

Juventus are back in talks with AS Bari to sign Swedish international Daniel Andersson.

The central midfielder was a target for Juve last autumn but Bari refused to listen to offers for the player set for Euro 2000 action in the summer with Sweden.

By then he could be a Juventus player. Andersson joined Bari from Malmo in June 1998 and he has emerged as one of the top imports of the past two seasons.

His excellent displays for Bari have attracted the interest of the Turin club but Bari would want at least £7 million to part with one of their major assets.
