Portugal name squad to face Belgium

Ajax striker Dani is back in contention for Portugal after the squad was announced by coach Humberto Coelho for next week's friendly against Euro 2000 co-hosts Belgium.

Former West Ham star Dani returns to the international scene for the first time since November 1998 and is joined by Rui Jorge in defence who has not played for four years at top level. Jorge and new cap Jose Luis Vidigal are in excellent form for Sporting Lisbon.

The squad in full -

Goalkeepers - Espinha and Silva

Defenders - Secretario, Costa, Couto, Teixeira, Severo and Jorge.

Midfielders - Sousa, Bento, Vidigal, Rui Costa, Figo, Conceicao, Capucho and Carvalho.

Strikers - Sa Pinto, Gomes and Pinto.
